Wood’s Hill Table in Concord, MA is a farm-to-table restaurant in what was previously the village grocery store. After 100 years as Mandriolli’s Grocery, this building was gutted, restructured, and reconfigured to accommodate a 150-seat dining space, active bar scene, and seasonal outdoor patio.
Studio Troika applied sustainability and back to basics concepts to the reuse of the building through elements of the restaurant itself. A basement was added to house mechanical equipment and the extensive cold storage needed for the restaurant. Solar panels along the roof’s southern exposures and awnings were added for both exterior character and interior shading.
